Zeugma 3

In 2014, four artists, Isabelle Sicart (ceramist), Emmanuel Levet Stenne (designer), and brothers Nicolas and Sébastien Reese (painters/decorators), came together for a unique exhibition at the Carole Decombe Gallery.
Their ambition? To create collectively, to intertwine their disciplines, and to spark a dialogue between ceramics, metal, design, and painting through original, collaborative works.
Ten years later, Zeugma 3 celebrates this inspired and inspiring collective journey, a creative adventure where each artist’s work enhances the others’. True to the spirit of the Greek word zeugma , meaning “link” or “the association of dissimilar ideas,” the artists return with new four-handed pieces, personal works, and a scenography conceived as a joyous interplay of materials and forms.
From sculptural furniture and hand-modeled ceramics to hybrid mirrors and poetic objects, Zeugma 3 reflects a demanding artisanal approach where gestures intersect, perspectives enrich one another, and the object becomes shared ground.
This exhibition is part of Paris Design Week 2025 and marks the ten-year anniversary of this unique artistic collaboration, passionately supported by Carole Decombe, a gallery owner deeply committed to promoting craftsmanship, sensibility, and the dialogue between ancient and contemporary decorative arts.
